A Year To Remember

WHAT A MEMORABLE YEAR

We went to a roller skating event and then celebrated the new year at home with family and friends. Whew, I haven’t been on roller skates in years; what a horror story and a good possibility. My sister was at the gymnastics competition in Ohio.

There was a meeting, and I enjoyed myself at the meeting in Ohio because it was far away. Before the competition, we slept the night at a motel with another gymnast and her mother. After practice, we had a good time. The girls had a joy in the hotel’s abandoned indoor pool after we drove down and had dinner there. I appreciate the complimentary hot breakfast that we had the following day.

Girl Scout cookie sales took up the entire month of March. We are grateful to everyone who supported Lucy. She received the top seller award with another scout and had many great rewards. In front of family and friends, Lucy and her cousin Sandra took part in their first holy communion. Of course, daddy had difficulty looking at this beautiful little girl, knowing that someday she would get married and be with her family.

We took the kids out of school three days earlier and flew to Orlando, where we stayed at a beautiful resort and visited Walt Disney world for the first time as a family. While there, we had fun at universal studios on the island of adventure to see Harry Porter’s world, Sea World’s newest water park, and many other fantastic places with other activities. The beautiful memories were definitely worth the money.

The kids love “Wristband Tuesday,” where they can ride any amusement park rides. Many hangouts at the ocean. We also took a side trip to New York to visit the statue of Liberty with Grandpa. Words can not tell or explain how amazing it was.

To cap it off, we drove to New Jersey to visit the famous “Cake Boss” bakery/ show that I love to watch on the television(It was 31 minutes to 2-hour waiting period for one of their famous pastries). Our next stop was Philadelphia to visit the Franklin Institute of the science museum, a hand on museum for kids and adults.

I enjoyed the two-story model of the heart(I wish I had this kind of center available when teaching 4th to 5th Grade Science. Afterward, we went to the famous Geno’s, a restaurant specializing in Cheesesteaks.

With our families together, I was one of the millions out there that evening trying to get a deal. “I was out from 9 pm to 4:30 am. Yeah, I know, Crazy, but it was fun, and I was with my good friends.

WOW! John is fourteen, and yet another year has already come to an end. Right now, my Goal is to focus on the real purpose of Christmas and simple acts of kindness during this crazy time of the year. We Sincerely hope this year was a happy one for you, and I pray the new year will be a better, happier one for us all.

It is always devastating and terrible when you feel the need for warmth, and it’s not there, the need for understanding and support, especially when you have a particular program and you want your family there. The necessity and longing to share your feelings and thoughts with others, but nobody is there to listen to you, can make you really and genuinely lonely. 

Loneliness due to insecurity

Loneliness can also arise due to insecurity, an inferiority complex, the feeling that you are not acceptable and loved by people around you, and the feeling that you have no choice but to be lonely. The last time I felt lonely was when I was far away from my family due to circumstances beyond my control which led to loneliness, and because of this, I had to console myself by getting a dog to keep my company. 

Loneliness has always been a painful and disturbing situation whereby you don’t feel connected to others, especially when you think the essential needs in your life are lacking and you feel some emptiness.

We as humans always need acquaintance, and this brings about the creation of relationships and friendships. Hence, loneliness signals that a critical basic need is not met, such as the need to have a circle of friends or a special relationship.

People need people. If you are lonely, you sometimes need warmth, understanding, and the will to share your feelings and thoughts with others. Loneliness does not necessarily mean being alone. For instance, you can feel lonely when you are in a class with twenty other students, in the middle of a party, at a sports event with hundreds of screaming spectators, or surrounded by family.

Can feelings of loneliness lead to depression?

Many experts believe that feelings of loneliness are the first signs of a person becoming depressed. Depression comes with a whole range of symptoms – and one of the most common is feelings of loneliness, sadness, and isolation. Hence, if you’ve been feeling lonely for a while, Paying attention to that is essential. It’s a vital sign that something isn’t right. If you feel lonely a lot, and it’s making you sad, taking action and treating your loneliness is crucial. If you leave your loneliness untreated, it can lead to depression.

Loneliness is a very individual experience. No two people will experience it in the same way. And while loneliness is a prevalent feeling, it’s also manageable and treatable. If you are constantly feeling lonely, it is vital to take action and start doing things that will help you feel less lonely, and better. Friendship is a relationship between two people with mutual understanding, care, affection, and love; in other words, it is a relationship of trust, faith, and concern for each other. A friend is always there for you despite all conditions and circumstances and will trust you even if you don’t have faith in yourself. They will always keep promises. Some qualities that a good friend possesses have no bounds. 

 

 

 

The qualities that I appreciate most in a friend are:

  • They give me unconditional love and an excellent sense of humor; they always consider me one of them in their household. 
  • They are honest and willing to take chances and forgive. 
  • Fiends must not lie and be selfish to each other. 
  • Loyalty and kindness are part of what a friend is. 
  • They must be someone that will listen and respond with frequent answers and must have a good heart and intelligence. 
  • My friend must be unpretentious and backbiting. 
  • A good friend will not hold grudges because they know I always have their best interest at heart. 
  • They are there always available, especially in times of need and chaos; they advise and are worried when the need arises. 
  • A good friend will always accept me for who I am without judging. 
  •  They don’t criticize and are always supportive, even if they don’t like your actions. 
  • They blame me when I am wrong and happily support me when I am right. 
  • Not jealous of me but will be happy with my achievements. 

It is a deep relationship of trust, faith, and respect for each other’s emotions and feelings. Even though you are always there for me, a true friend believes in you even if you are having doubts about yourself.

A person’s characteristics can reflect in a friend. They bestowed me with unconditional love and a terrific sense of humor and treated me as a family member. The features I like most in a buddy are honesty and willingness to forgive and take chances.

My buddy must never be a liar or selfish.

A good friend must have a solid moral character and be someone you can trust. A good friend must have these qualities of a friend – Confidence, compassion, patience, selflessness, and tactfulness.

Some of us feel like going to a bar or an event somewhere else after work, while some feel like going home to their personal life. When you get home, what outfit are you planning on wearing when you get home? Your house wear may seem unimportant considering the stress of the day’s work, especially as a busy adult.

The first thing to remember when dressing at home is that your clothes need be practical and different. You will almost certainly be spending time on the couch, eating, and maybe doing a little bit of cleaning, so your clothes should withstand the toll of everyday life.

It means the clothes you wear at home will fit whatever you want to do at home, and looking nice will help. You can never go wrong with a pair of dark, slim-fit jeans and a nice, clean t-shirt or knit sweater.

It is always better to look casual, relaxed, and fashionable. Don’t be afraid of a white t-shirt if you want to look more casual.

You would wonder what shoes to put on and what clothes to wear when you get home. It all depends on your choice of clothing. If you plan to relax on the couch when you get home, you should go for some house shoes like slippers or flip-flops.

However, if you have plans to go out or visit a friend for a date or something, you will need a pair of shoes that matches your outfit. You can also try something casual like sneakers. Whatever you choose, make sure it fits your look.

 What you need when considering your outfit at home is color. When you get home, the color of your clothes should match your mood. Dark colors look formal and suited for your work attire. However, when you are at home, wear a little lighter cloth, such as the color blue, yellow, or pink. These colors are continuously bright and colorful while they remain casual and relaxed.
