THE BEST WAY TO CONTROL YOURSELF WHEN YOU ARE ANGRY?

HOW DO YOU CONTROL YOUR ANGER

THERE ARE DIFFERENT KIND OF SITUATION WHICH ARISE AND BRINGS ABOUT ANGER. SOMETIMES WE FIND IT DIFFICULT TO CONTROL OUR ANGER ESPECIALLY WHEN WE ARE EXTREMELY UPSET,UNHAPPY OR HAVE AN INTENSE FEELING OVER AN ISSUE. OUR LEVEL OF ANGER IS DIFFERENT FROM ONE INDIVIDUAL TO THE OTHER AND THE WAY WE INDIVIDUALLY REACT TO ANGER IS DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER . SOME PEOPLE GET ANGRY OVER NOTHING WHILE SOME GET ANGRY OVER A SITUATION THEY CAN CONTROL. I HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING THAT SOMETIMES ITS GOOD TO LET OUT YOUR ANGER OVER HOW YOU FEEL  AND EVENTUALLY LET IT GO. BUT THE TRUTH IS MANY PEOPLE HAVE PROBLEM MANAGING HOW THEY FEEL WHEN UPSET . MY QUESTION IS:

  • IS IT REALLY BAD TO FEEL UPSET AND  ANGRY ?
  • HOW DO I GET ANGRY WITHOUT LETTING THE OTHER PARTY FEEL BAD ?
  • HOW DO I DEAL WITH MY ANGER IN A MORE POLITE AND BETTER WAY ?

I REMEMBER A PARTICULAR INCIDENT WHEN A FRIEND CAME VISITING AND  WE WERE ALL HAVING A GOOD TIME AND CHATTING AND DURING OUR DISCUSSION WE WERE MAKING JEST OF EACH OTHER AND IT GOT TO A STAGE THAT I WAS MADE A JEST OF AND I GOT SO ANGRY THAT I FELT REALLY BAD, BUT INSTEAD OF HITTING OR FIGHTING I CONTROLLED MYSELF AND WALKED OUT OF THE HOUSE AND WENT VISITING ANOTHER FRIEND IN OTHER TO COOL OFF AND GOT MYSELF BACK IN PLACE. I DON’T CONSIDER MYSELF AN ANGRY PERSON BUT SOMETIMES I GET OUT OF CONTROL OVER A LITTLE THING AND I REACT FOOLISHLY AT THAT POINT IN TIME.  I OFTEN REGRET MY ACTIONS WHEN I BECOME CALM AFTER MY ANGER . I WISHED I HAD NOT REACTED THE WAY I DID AND I HATE MYSELF FOR IT.

THERE WAS A FRIEND WHO SHARED HIS LITTLE EXPERIENCE OVER THE WEEKEND WITH ME. HE WENT VISITING HIS BROTHER AND HIS BROTHER GOT HIM SO ANGRY THAT WHEN HE GOT BACK HOME HE FINISHED A POT OF JAM, IS THAT NOT FUNNY ? .THERE ARE DIFFERENT CASES LIKE THIS OUT THERE AND EVERYBODY REACTS DIFFERENTLY DEPENDING ON SITUATION. WHEN YOU ARE ANGRY WHAT DO YOU DO ?

  1. DO YOU GO FOR A DRIVE ?
  2. DO YOU YELL AT THE PERSON YOU ARE ANGRY WITH ?
  3. DO YOU TALK TO A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER ?
  4. DO YOU PHYSICALLY HIT THE PERSON INVOLVED BECAUSE YOU WERE SO ANGRY ?
  5. DID YOU CALL THEM NAMES BECAUSE YOU WERE ANGRY ?
  6. DID YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE  OR GO TO ANOTHER ROOM  TO THINK ?
  7. DID YOU GO TO A QUIET PLACE  TO COOL OFF ?
  8. DID YOU GO TO A BAR TO DRINK BECAUSE YOU WERE ANGRY?

HMMMMMMM! NO MATTER WHAT SITUATION OR CIRCUMSTANCES THAT MAKE US ANGRY WE SHOULD LEARN TO CONTROL OUR ANGER. WHAT DO YOU THINK ?.
